Governor's
Beachhas got its name a long way back from the
colonial days;
the British Governor used to enjoy swimming in this
beautiful beach. Governor's beach is located midway
between Larnaca and
Limassol. All other towns, Nicosia
and the Troodos mountains are easily accessible
from here. This is the finest beach for swimming
and sunbathing on the southern coast of Cyprus with
long stretches of clean sand and shallow crystal
water. It is a perfect beach for families with
children, and also offers secluded coves for those
who want more privacy. As well as the beautiful
sandy beach, the spectacular white rocks stretch
for miles from the west end of the beach...a
perfect area for snorkeling, boating and
fishing. There's an excellent selection
of bars taverns and restaurants
actually at beach level
with their lawns just about reaching the water line
where families and romantic couples can enjoy their
drink or a meal sitting under the trees just a few
meters away from the water.
